My Planet Health's New Mental Health Bench on the River Wey

We've recently been awarded funding from Aspire Grants to install a Mental Health Bench, and we're keen to place it on the towpath adjacent to the Wey Navigation, on the opposite side of the New Inn pub. Then hopefully we can have more along the way to Guildford. 

The Mental Health Bench is designed to provide a welcoming and accessible space where local residents can sit, reflect, connect with nature, and easily access mental health support information.

The bench will act as both a physical and digital gateway to support and will include:

• My Planet Health branding and contact details.

• Mental health helpline information.

• QR codes linking directly to support services, including Samaritans, local crisis resources, and wellbeing information.

• Signposting to local mental health, counselling, and community wellbeing services.

• Positive messages designed to encourage reflection, connection, and seeking support when needed.
