Our Support Options

At My Planet Health, our mission is simple: to make high-quality therapy and mental health support accessible to everyone in our community.

We’re passionate advocates for mental health and collaborate with respected organisations such as Surrey and Borders NHS, MINDGuildford Family Centre, LuminusGuildford College and The Eaves to amplify our impact.

For those with private health insurance, we’re listed on the BUPA Finder website.

Relationships

We work with adults aged 18+ offering relationship counselling for both individuals and couples. We support clients with all aspects of relationships, including romantic relationships, marriage and partnership difficulties, family relationships, friendships, and workplace relationships.

Our counsellors adopt a pluralistic approach, drawing on psychodynamic, systemic and collaborative therapeutic models to tailor counselling to each client's unique needs and circumstances.

For couples counselling, we usually begin by seeing the couple together, alongside two individual sessions (one for each partner). This enables each person to share their own perspective and helps us develop a deeper understanding of the relationship dynamics. We then agree a programme of ongoing sessions, working collaboratively towards goals that are meaningful to both partners.

Couples seek counselling for many different reasons. Some wish to rebuild emotional closeness, improve communication, or repair communication breakdown following significant events. Others want support in working through challenges such as trust issues, infidelity, conflict, differing parenting styles, intimacy concerns, or ongoing disagreements.

Relationships can also come under strain following major life events such as bereavement, miscarriage, illness, redundancy, becoming parents, or other significant life changes. Having a safe, impartial space to explore these experiences together often helps each partner feel heard and understood. It can bring greater clarity, strengthen empathy, and create positive change within the relationship.

After many years together, it is easy to assume we know what our partner is thinking or feeling. Couples counselling often reveals new insights and perspectives that surprise both partners, opening the door to healthier communication and a stronger, more connected relationship.

Not all couples come to counselling to stay together. Sometimes the healthiest outcome is to separate. We also offer counselling to support couples who have made the difficult decision to end their relationship, helping them navigate this transition with understanding, respect and compassion. Where possible, we aim to support an amicable separation, particularly where children or shared family responsibilities are involved, enabling both individuals to move forward in the healthiest way possible.

Mental Health

We all have mental health, just as we all have physical health, and both deserve care and attention. At different points in our lives, many of us will experience mental health difficulties, and seeking support early can make a significant difference to recovery and wellbeing.

At My Planet Health, we are passionate about supporting the mental health of our local community. We provide counselling and wellbeing support for adults aged 18+ experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, low mood, stress, and other emotional challenges.

Our experienced therapists work collaboratively with each client, offering a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore their thoughts and feelings. We tailor our therapeutic approach to the individual, helping clients develop a greater understanding of themselves while building practical strategies to improve their mental health and overall wellbeing.

Alongside our counselling service, we also run community peer support groups that provide opportunities for people to connect with others, reduce feelings of isolation, and receive support in a welcoming and supportive environment.

If you are concerned about your own mental health or that of a family member, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We will work with you to identify the most appropriate support, whether that is through our counselling services, one of our peer support groups, or by signposting you to one of our trusted local partners or specialist services.

We are also recognised providers for BUPA and offer counselling for eligible BUPA members through the BUPA provider network. In addition, we work with local businesses to deliver workplace wellbeing support, helping organisations promote positive mental health and support the wellbeing of their employees.

For more information about our counselling services, workplace wellbeing support or community groups, please contact Jayne at info@myplanethealth.co.uk.

Self Esteem and Confidence

We provide counselling support for individuals aged 18+ who want to build their self-esteem, develop greater self-confidence, and create a healthier relationship with themselves.

Low self-esteem can affect many areas of life, including relationships, work, decision-making, and overall wellbeing. Together, we work to understand where these feelings may have originated, exploring past experiences, family dynamics, childhood relationships, and significant life events that may have shaped the way you see yourself.

Using a compassionate and collaborative approach, our therapists help you gain a deeper understanding of your thoughts, emotions, strengths, and values. We can support you in developing healthier boundaries, challenging unhelpful beliefs, improving self-acceptance, and recognising your own worth.

Alongside increasing self-awareness, we will work with you to develop practical strategies and coping techniques that help build lasting confidence. Our aim is to empower you to feel more secure in who you are, make choices that reflect your values, and develop healthier relationships with both yourself and others.

Support Groups and Workplace Wellbeing

At My Planet Health C.I.C., we are committed to supporting the wellbeing of our local community through a range of peer support groups and workplace wellbeing initiatives.

As part of our National Lottery Community Funded Bridge Project, we run free fortnightly anxiety and mental health peer support groups for young adults aged 18–22. Hosted in partnership with Coffee#1 in West Byfleet, these informal drop-in sessions provide a welcoming and supportive environment where young people can connect with others, share experiences, reduce feelings of isolation, and access information about local mental health support.

We also run additional wellbeing groups and community events throughout the year. For the latest information, please visit our social media pages or contact us at info@myplanethealth.co.uk.

Workplace Wellbeing

Supporting positive mental health in the workplace benefits both employees and organisations. We work with businesses across the Woking, Guildford and surrounding areas to provide accessible and affordable workplace wellbeing services.

Our services include:

  • Discounted counselling for employees.

  • Mental health awareness training for managers and staff.

  • Wellbeing workshops tailored to your organisation's needs.

  • On-site or online counselling support.

  • Consultation and advice on promoting positive workplace wellbeing.

For many organisations, these services provide a flexible and cost-effective alternative or complement to a traditional Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), helping employees access timely support while fostering a healthier and more resilient workplace culture.
